By shared tour we mean a tour organized for a small group (usually 8 people) following a pre-established itinerary without renouncing the freedom during free time in each place. The possibility of sharing a vehicle with other people offers the advantage of having a lower price without sacrificing the reliability, comfort and safety of transport.
During our shared tours, the seats assigned to passengers will always remain the same throughout the journey, the driver will always wear a mask and the itinerary will take place in full compliance with the limits imposed by the anti-Covid directives.
The maximum number of people participating in the shared tour is always indicated in the excursion information sheet. Usually our shared tours that take place overland involve the use of minivans for up to 8 people and only in some cases minibuses with 16 seats. Where and if not indicated, if you need to know, please contact our customer service.
By private tour we mean an organized tour in which no other people will take part other than those indicated in the booking. The private tour represents the ideal choice for those seeking total relaxation, safety for their family and the freedom to make changes to the tour schedule along the way.
Within the limits of the total duration of the excursion, you will be free to manage your free time as you see fit, without having to share your time or your desires with others.
You will choose whether to stay more in one place rather than another, where to have lunch, where to stop for photos or for a swim on the beach. In short, you will forget the stress of driving, traffic and parking, enjoying your day to the fullest thanks to the advice of our expert local drivers.
By shared guided tour we mean a tour organized for a small group with the support of an expert local official guide. Our shared guided tours allow access to more competitive prices and are always carried out in full compliance with the regulations of the site visited as well as with the anti-Covid directives in force.
By private guided tour we mean a tour in which only your family or group of people for whom you are booking will take part.
You will not be accompanied by other tourists but only by your expert local official guide, thus having the possibility of agreeing together on the most suitable visit for you based on the time available and your and your family's needs. You will be free to ask questions and satiate your curiosity by tackling the itinerary at your own pace without inconvenience.
In short, our private guided tours are ideal for those who love careful, tailor-made, participatory and non-passive visits.
Our guides are all expert local Official Guides with regional and national qualification. They can accompany you inside museums, archaeological sites and churches explaining in detail the history, culture and secrets that only a local guide knows.
The safety of our staff, drivers and guests is of the utmost importance. We have implemented the following security measures:
1. The driver will always wear a mask for all services.
2. The driver will not come into physical contact with the passengers or their personal belongings (e.g. luggage).
3. Each vehicle is equipped with hand sanitizers and wipes.
4. Vehicles are sanitized to standards that require proper disinfection of vehicles between services

An audio guide is an electronic device used in cases where you want to visit a museum without the classic physical guides but still having historical information and descriptions of the works/monuments at your disposal.
Each monument is associated with a number, so when the visitor finds himself in front of the monument whose history and description he wants to know, all he has to do is type in the number to which he is associated in the audio guide and a recorded track will automatically start containing all the information . Further help will be given by the map of the site where there are the monuments of greatest interest and the recommended itineraries.
You will receive the voucher / confirmation email within 24 hours of booking / request. If you have not received anything after this time, please contact us.

We reserve the right to change the order in which we visit the sites, depending on traffic conditions, weather conditions, internal strikes/assemblies or other unforeseen circumstances which may affect the planned itinerary.
A local tour driver (driver-guide) and a local tour guide are not the same. It is to your advantage when booking a private tour to make sure you understand the difference and know beforehand what you are paying for. A tour guide has a license, usually issued by the region/state. He or she has taken exams and learned all about the sites you will see. A guide can enter the historic sites with you and tell you about the history. Of course, their services are an additional cost. A tourist driver does not have a tourist guide license, has not taken exams and is not authorized to accompany you inside a site to tell you its story. Naturally, their services will be cheaper. Many drivers are just as well versed in the history of the area as a formal guide. The difference of course is that they can give you information inside the vehicle and not inside the museum/church etc as you could easily get fined by the police.
You should have received an automated email in response to your booking/enquiry, check your spam folder if you can't find it. If you have not received it, contact us at info@aroundvesuvio.com
